Masadi, Honnali Taluk, June 25, 2019: The Self Help Group members, 45 in number, of Masadi Grama Panchayat received training on organic farming and after the training received vegetable seeds. After the training the Streebandhu Federation, Honnali celebrated Environment Day by planting 50 seedlings in the Rudhrabhoomi and on the sides of the road.
The president of Masadi Gram Panchayat, Mrs Guthyamma, PDO, Mr Mehaboob, Government Higher primary School Head Mistress Smt Yashodamma praised the initiative of Federation leaders. Along with the women of Streebandhu Federation Children from the Government Higher Primary School were present during the planting of seedlings.
Ujjivana Phase - II project Coordinator, Mr Shanmukha Naik explained the purpose of the programme. The animator for the area Mrs Shobha organized the programme. The Streebandhu Federation president and the office bearers thanked everyone, especially the Grama Panchayat President and the PDO for their wholehearted support and cooperation.
