Awareness programme on World Breastfeeding Week

The Shimoga Multipurpose Social Service Society® in collaboration with Sai Institute and FPAI organized a Breastfeeding Week program on 4-8-2026 at Hasudi Farm Community Hall. Mrs. Santubai was the resource person briefed about the World Breastfeeding Week, saying it is celebrated every year from August 1 to 7 worldwide. The World Health Organization has called for creating awareness about the importance of mother's breast milk, infant health and nutrition. The right age for the girls to get married. She explained in great detail about the development of the uterus and the importance of mothers giving breast milk to their children. 52 members of Streebandhu Federation Hosudi participated. They answered related questions asked by the resource person and 15 members received prizes for the same.
