Training on Rain Water Harvesting

Ayanur, Shimoga, June 20, 2019: The Shimoga Multipurpose Social Service Society organized a training on rain water harvesting for 33 women of 15 self help groups at Ayanur, Shimoga on 20 June 2019. Br Vinuth was the resource person. The members understood the need to store rain water and also decided to do rain water harvesting wherever it is possible.

The members also learnt about farm pits and recharge pits in their own surroundings. The members also received awareness on the different schemes available for rain water harvesting and also various schemes under Sujala Watershed projects. Animator Mrs Savitha M made the necessary arrangements.
