Twice every year, ICDP organized personality development camps and training programs through SMSSS (Shivamogga Multipurpose Social Service Society) at Chaitanya, Shivamogga.

After completing her Bachelor's degree in Science, Kavya achieved another milestone by successfully clearing the Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) and securing admission to pursue a Master's degree in Chemistry.
For a student from a financially challenged background, this was a remarkable achievement and a reflection of years of hard work and determination.
She successfully completed three semesters of her Master's program and looked forward to building a career in the field of science.
Unfortunately, life had other plans.
A Setback That Became a New Beginning
During her Master's studies, Kavya experienced serious health issues that forced her to discontinue the program before completion.
This was one of the most difficult periods of her life.
After investing years of effort into her education, she suddenly found herself uncertain about her future. The disappointment of being unable to complete her Master's degree was emotionally overwhelming.
At this crucial moment, ICDP once again stood beside her.
When the Chaitanya staff learned about her situation, they visited her home and provided emotional support and counselling. In particular, the Director Madam Mrs. Anie Fiallow and Mrs. Anithatook a personal interest in helping her regain confidence and find a new direction in life.
Rather than allowing the setback to define her future, they encouraged her to view it as an opportunity to explore another meaningful path.
Recognizing her natural ability to guide and support others, they inspired her to pursue a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree.
Their encouragement changed the course of her life.

Following the guidance of ICDP, Kavya enrolled in the Bachelor of Education program and successfully completed it with distinction.
This decision helped her discover her true passion—teaching.
The child who once depended on educational support now became someone capable of empowering others through education.
Her personal experiences taught her empathy, resilience, and the importance of mentorship—qualities that would later make her an exceptional teacher.
Professional Growth and Leadership
Kavya's professional journey reflects continuous growth and commitment to education.
She began her teaching career at Mount Hira Public School, where she taught Science and Mathematics to primary school students and served as a class teacher.
She later worked as an Academic Mentor at Open Minds World School, Shimoga, where she mentored students in Science and Mathematics, guided mixed-age learning groups, developed innovative learning strategies, provided career guidance, and worked extensively with CBSE and NIOS students.
Subsequently, she served as a Science Teacher at The Home School, where she designed competency-based lesson plans, implemented activity-based learning approaches, and fostered engaging classroom experiences.
Today, she works as a High School Science Teacher at Sri Chaitanya Techno School, Bangalore, teaching Science and Biology to students from Grades 6 to 10 and serving as a Class Teacher for Grade 9 students.
