Chaitanya, November 13, 2022: The Shimoga Multipurpose Social Service Society, Shimoga organized Sneha Koota, Unnati Scholarship Students’ Meet on 13 November 2022 in Chaitanya Shimoga. Unnati beneficiaries, both past and the ongoing, numbering 60 participated in the event. The program of the day began at 9.30 AM with prayer and words of welcome. During the Ice Breaker session everyone got a chance to know each other and exchange pleasantries.
After the Tea Break at 11.00 AM, the Director of Chaitanya & the Secretary of SMSSS, Rev. Fr Clifford Roshan Pinto took a session on “Know Thyself: for a Happy Life.” The participants were made to realize that each one is unique and has capacities to excel in life. Instead of waiting for a opportunity to succeed, create an opportunity was the key aspect stressed during the session. Fr Roshan also urged the participants to be sensitive to the needs of others and try to help the needy in whatever way possible.
Rev. Fr Stany D’Souza, the Dean of Carmel Deanery and the Parish Priest of Sacred Heart Cathedral, celebrated the Holy Eucharist and preached a meaningful homily. After the Mass, the two donors, who were beneficiaries of ICDP and Unnati, Mr Ronald D’Silva and Mr Anthony Clinton were facilitated for supporting the education of poor children through their financial contribution. The event ended with a sumptuous dinner at 2.00 PM.
