Chaitanya, Shimoga, October 07, 2022: The renovated Chapel and new Altar in Chaitanya is blessed today during the solemn Eucharistic Celebration which began at 6.45 PM. The Bishop, Most Rev. Dr Francis Serrao SJ blessed the renovated Chapel, the Holy Cross and the new Altar.
In his homily the Bishop explained the significance of the Temple of God and in the words of St Paul exhorted the participants to become the living temples.
At the end of the Eucharistic Celebration, the Director, Fr Clifford Roshan Pinto thanked the Bishop, the Priests, the Sisters, the Governing Board & the General Body Members and everyone who participated in the Celebration. The dedicated service of the staff of Chaitanya was appreciated by the Director. The Director also placed on record the generous financial support from the donor agencies and the individual donors. The Bishop appreciated the work of the Centre and thanked the staff and the Director for the tremendous work. He noted that the Centre organizing several trainings and supporting thousands of families through various development programs. The Celebration ended with the dinner.
The New Altar and the pews are prepared by Mr Simon of M/s Maria Constructions and Interiors, Bangalore. The Cross background design and the roof ceiling is done by Mr Sunil Fernandes of M/s Rosary Creative Engineers, Shimoga.
