Sneha Koota meeting of all the beneficiaries of Unnathi Loan Scholarship was held on 26th December at Chaitanya-SMSSS. Rt. Rev. Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of Shimoga inaugurated the meet by lighting the lamp. Rev. Fr. Roman Pinto, the Youth Director for the Diocese of Shimoga and Mr. Rajshekar, Lecturer, DVS College, Shimoga and the Resource Person of this meeting. Totally 49 Unnathi Loan Scholarship Beneficiaries were present in this meeting.

In his inaugural speech, the Bishop of Shimoga spoke on “ How one should be able to reach his or her goal set for the future.” Mr. Rajshekar spoke on ‘Setting ones Mind Right, to get the Life Right’. He stressed on the need to overcome minority complexes present in the youth. Often people give thousands of reasons for their failures, but forget to learn what are needed to overcome them. Then one begins think negatively and to believe that he/she is inferior to others. With this, it will be impossible to achieve success. Instead, one should adopt positive attitude, repeated tries that would lead to successful achievements of one’s goal. This success is a big gift to our community and then the community will recognize us as somebody. This will lead one to develop his/her personality. The thought ‘impossible’ should be deleted from our mind; one should forget that others exist because of me; one should rightly utilize each opportunity.

Scrumptious meal was served in the noon. Later Fr. Veeresh V. Moras, Director of SMSSS spoke about his new dreams of Foundation of Funds for Poor and deserving children for their higher Education, the new website of SMSSS and about the Chetana Magazine. He also thanked all those beneficiaries who have fully returned the loan amounts to SMSSS. The Programme was ended with the tea.
