Skill Enhancement Training
The Shimoga Multipurpose Social Service Society organised skill enhancement training for the staff on 30th April and May 2nd at Chaitanya. The training began with a prayer by the participants.
Coordinators addressed various community development activities and their creative implementations. They are as follows.
1. Self Help Group and Federation: Conducting monthly meetings and enabling every member to share their problems and get supported mutually for their own development.
2. Project Activities: Implementation of the project activities with respect to goals and objectives for the benefit of people and the community as well.
3. Social action: Identification of the community issues and nature of action taken for the development of the community.
4. Local Governance: Availing of facilities and schemes from the Grama Panchayat and other government departments for the members and the community. Active participation in Grama Sabha. Implementation of MGNREGA and involvement of the community in availing the work.
5. Income Generation: Undertaking income generative activities for the sustainable income of the family.
Federation Report Presentation: The report was presented and evaluated. The positive impact was appreciated and suggestions were given for the further development.
Monthly Activity Report Presentations:
Ms Lucy, Ms Savita, Ms Lilly Lopes and Ms Jecintha D’Souza presented their monthly activity reports. Constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement were provided.
Birthday Celebrations:
Celebrations were held for Ms Vatsala, Ms Marystella, and Ms Gangamma. Heartfelt compliments were shared by Ms Malini for each of them. The celebrations ended with cutting of the cake.
The training was concluded with the inputs by the director.
