Sparsha: Mission against Cancer
Instilling Hope Campaign
Sparsha began in 2019 as a mission against cancer rooted in awareness, early detection, healthier living, patient care, and community solidarity. Through ambassadors, volunteers, hospitals, and like-minded institutions, the campaign reaches families in both towns and remote areas with hope and practical support.
Cancer prevention awareness with focus on healthy lifestyle and early detection.
Counseling and follow-up support for patients and family members.
Volunteer and ambassador promotion to reach remote communities continuously.
Need-based intervention for affected families and support in treatment pathways.

Training and Capacity Building
Every month, ambassadors and volunteers are given the inputs, clarity, and support needed to continue the Sparsha programme effectively in their own communities.
Family Care and Counseling
Patients and families receive moral support, treatment follow-up assistance, and guidance to access available care and government schemes.
Screening, Camps, and Awareness
Observation days, rallies, street plays, screenings, ECGs, mammography support, and health camps help communities detect risks early and act in time.
Organic Living and Prevention
Farmers and households are encouraged toward natural farming, soil care, organic kitchen gardens, and food habits that support long-term health.
Training for Sparsha Ambassadors
Ambassadors receive regular monthly input sessions so they can carry the mission forward with confidence, structure, and stronger local participation.
- The role and responsibilities as ambassadors
- Developing network to involve more people
- Fund raising strategy
- Planning of programmes in various places
Volunteers, Workshops, and Review Meets
Volunteers are trained, reviewed, and supported continuously. Workshops with faith-based and health institutions, along with block-level review meetings, help the programme respond better to real field needs.
Volunteer focus
Role clarity, field support, and practical handholding to continue the campaign effectively.
Monthly review
Progress is reviewed every month to identify challenges, innovate, and strengthen future planning.
Health Network and Observation Days
Cancer observation days, rallies, street plays, screenings, and camps are made stronger through a trusted institutional network that works closely with SMSSS.
Strategic Meet with Like-Minded Organisations
These collaborations helped widen access to screening, awareness, support services, and better implementation of the programme in multiple regions.
Organic Farming and Cancer Prevention
Sparsha promotes organic farming as a preventive and life-enhancing practice. Farmers are trained in green leafy manure, compost, vermicompost, natural pesticide preparation, jeevamrutha, soil testing, and soil treatment. Bio-gas, pollution-free poultry farming, and kitchen gardens are encouraged so families can consume healthier produce regularly.
