Nikin Santhis

Nikin Santhis is the second son to the couple Mr. Lewis and Mrs. Theresa Santhis from the Sacred Heart Cathedral Parish. Nikin has an elder brother, Avinash and a younger brother Steven. His father, Late Lewis Santhis, was working as a private bus driver and he deceased Nine years back due to kidney and liver problems. After that his mother got a Social worker job and she took over the family responsibility and she educated the three sons well. Her elder son Avinash completed Diploma course in Mechanic and works in a Private firm. Recently he got married and settled in life. Second son Nikin Santhis, successfully completed Master’s of Computer Application and recently he too got job in the private firm called Haruko Consulting Private Limited, Bangalore as Web Development Officer and he is happy there. Third son Stevan is studying in the second year Engineering course at Shimoga.

Nikin was accepted for sponsorship programme in the month of May 2003 when he was attending 6th standard in school at that time. His sponsor parent was Mr. Brezina Petr and his family. All the benefits from this programme, together with the regular letters received from his sponsor parent, motivated Nikin to do his best in studies and thus show pleasing progress in every aspect at school and later in college. In 2007, his mother too found a job as Social Worker in a private organization. In April 2008, he passed the exams of tenth standard. When he was studying in 11th grade, his father fell severely ill with jaundice and deceased in February 2009. In April 2010, he was successful in the 12th grade exams. He joined the university and studied Bachelor of Computer Applications and later Master of Computer Application. After successfully completing MCA in distinction, he decided to begin his career. He found a good job at the firm, His brother Avinash, after completing a Diploma course too is employed in an organization, whereas the younger brother Steven is continuing studies at the university. Nikin is a happy person and is much indebted to his sponsor parent and to Caritas Prague for offering him a brighter future with good education and enabling him to pursue his ambition. He left the Sponsorship Programme on 15/01/2018 as a successful beneficiary of CSP.

In the year 2017-18, a total of 75 new children (28 by Czech and 47 by Slovakia) have been added to the programme.
