Hasudi, Shimoga, July 13, 2019: The Shimoga Multipurpose Social Service Society organized a training on rain water harvesting and Team Work at the community hall, Hasudi on 13 July 2019 for the members of Streebandhu Federation, Hasudi. Br Vinuth was the resource person. Different ways of harvesting the rain water was taught to the participants. In the present situation when people are struggling for water, everyone should work towards saving water and try to increase the ground water level by practicing the possible methods of harvesting rain water.
The participants were also made to understand the importance of team work. There is strength in unity was the main focus of the second part of the training. There were 65 members from 14 self help groups. Mrs Mary Stella, the animator for the area organized the programme. The president of the Streebandhu Federation, Hasudi Mrs Rani, vice president Mrs Vijaya and secretary Mrs Pushpavathi were present for the training programme. The participants have decided to initiate rain water harvesting in their area.
