Harnahalli, Shimoga, July 15, 2019: The Shimoga Multipurpose Social Service Society in collaboration with the Forest Department, Ayanur, Prathamika Arogya Kendra, Harnahalli & Patanjali Yoga & Prakruthi Samsthe, Shimoga organized blood sugar test, blood pressure check up and environment day celebration at Veerabhadreshwara Samudaya Bhavana, Harnahalli, Shimoga on 15 July 2019.

Forest Range Officer of Ayanur Range Mr K. Ravi inaugurated the programme and highlighted the need of planting more and more seedlings so that the environment is protected. Rev. Fr Clifford Roshan Pinto, the Director of SMSSS urged the participants to think of the present situation and the struggle people are undergoing and work for a positive change. Dr Sathish, the Health Inspector from Prathamika Arogya Kendra, Harnahalli spoke about contagious and non contagious diseases. Mrs Prathiba, Taluk Health Inspector spoke about cleanliness and the precautionary measures one has to take to prevent oneself from diseases spread through mosquitoes. Mr Nagaraj J from the Forest Department, Mrs Chandramma, president of the Streebandhu Federation, Harnahalli, representatives from the Forest Department and members of Streebandhu Federation, Harnahalli were present for the programme. 88 people checked their blood sugar and blood pressure test.

Mr Jagadeesha K.H the Coordinator for the area and Mrs Kavitha the animator for the area along with Mrs Latha organized the programme. Health camp continued the whole day. Five seedlings were planted on the side of the road. The participants took seedlings to plant in their land.
