Kumsi, Shimoga, July 09, 2019: The Shimoga Multipurpose Social Service Society and the Streebandhu Federation, Kumsi organized health and cleanliness awareness programme on 09 July 2019 at Kumsi. 29 women from Shri Bhuvaneshwari and Haladamma self help groups and 8 women from the area benefitted from the programme. Mrs Parvathi, ASHA worker spoke about Malaria, Dengue, Leprosy, Elephantiasis, H1N1, and the diseases spread by mosquitoes. She requested all the participants to keep the surroundings clean. Mrs Savitha M, the animator for the area organized the programme. 2 MSW students from Tumkur University too were part of the programme.
