Abbalagere, Shimoga, June 24, 2019: As a result of the training given to the Self Help Group members and the community leaders of Abbalagere area by the Shimoga Multipurpose Social Service Society 53 members, both men and women had submitted the application under Form No. 6 for work under MGNREGA and had worked for 100 days during the financial year 2018-19 cleaning Hosakerehalli lake, Abbalagere and received payment for their work. This financial year too, that is, 2019-20, they had submitted the application and are continuing the work under the same scheme. Mrs. Theresa Sanctis, the animator for the area and the staff from SMSSS are constantly motivating the SHG members and community leaders to make the best use of the available opportunities.
