Chaitanya, Shimoga, September 05, 2019: The Valedictory Function of the beautician course of 6 months duration which was supported by the Functional Vocational Training and Research Society was held on 05 September 2019 at Chaitanya, Shimoga. Most Rev. Dr Francis Serrao SJ, the bishop of the diocese of Shimoga and the President of SMSSS presided over the programme and distributed the certificates to the trainees. 24 beneficiaries from our target area received the training for 6 months. In his presidential address the bishop noted that the trainees to live by the motto of SMSSS, that is, I am not for myself but I am for others. Rev. Fr Clifford Roshan Pinto, the director of SMSSS thanked Ms Mamatha, the beautician teacher for training the students and urged all students to help each other so that it is not I alone come up in life but I also help others to earn for their development.
The trainees expressed their gratitude for providing them an opportunity to start their own self employment. SMSSS thanks Misereor Germany for their generous support through FVTRS Bangalore.
