Shimoga, August 27, 2019: Thanks to the great concern of Most Rev. Dr Gerald Isaac Lobo, Bishop of the diocese of Udupi and the overwhelming generosity of Priests, Religious, Lay Faithful and the educational institutions, more relief material was distributed to the victims of the recent floods in Shimoga. As on today relief material is distributed to 276 families. The relief material consisted of rice (mostly a bag of 25 kgs), dal, sugar, biscuits, soaps, tooth paste, tooth brush, sarees (minimum 2 each), bed sheets, etc to these victims.

People of goodwill have also started extending their financial support to undertake the long term rehabilitation work of repairing the damaged houses and reconstruct the collapsed houses. Shortly we will begin the work of repairing the damaged houses. The details of the amount collected till date is as follows:
