Holalur, Shimoga, July 29, 2019: The members of the Streebandhu Federation submitted an appeal to the DC requesting him to immediately ask the concerned authorities to appoint an medical officer for the hobli level Taluk Health Centre at Holalur. The protesting women alleged that since the past 3 years the centre does not have a duty doctor at night and the people of 7 villages numbering 16,500 face several difficulties due to non-availability of a doctor at night. Since the earlier representation to the concerened offices did not yield the desired fruit, women of the Streebandhu Federation, Holalur, numbering 103 gathered in front of the DC's office and submitted the appeal to the Additional DC Mrs Anuradha. Mrs Mary Stella, the animator for the area participated.
