Ganjenahalli, Honnali, June 19, 2019: A training on organic farming and organic kitchen garden was organized for 38 women self help group members of Ganjenahalli in Honnali Taluk on 19 June 2019. Mr Shanmukha Naik, the Coordinator of Ujjivana - Phase II Project, SMSSS, was the resource person. The participants were made to understand the need to grow more and more organic products and the importance of consuming food with vitamins.
All the participants received vegetables seeds. The participants have decided to grow organic vegetables for their consumption and also promote the growing of organic products in their locality. Mrs Lilly Lopes, the area animator motivated the women to participate in the training programme.
